Palit has introduced a 3-slot-spanning ATi HD 4870 X2-based graphics card -- the Revolution 700 Deluxe. This beastly card runs two 750 MHz GPUs, offers 2GB GDDR5 with memory clocked at 3800MHz, and of course the ATI CrossFireX Multi-GPU support with ATI PowerPlay, as well as ATI Avivo technology. This dual GPU-based card has pre-overclocked cores that offer 2.4 teraFLOPS of graphics power and has 1600 stream processors packed on those cores.
We've already reviewed the HD 4870 X2 graphics card, and this is a drool-worthy update to the same. This high-end card, the Revolution 700 Deluxe, has two PWM fans with four heatpipes for cooling, and the entire setup comes in a 3-slot design. With 2GB GDDR5 memory, this card is capable of offering enormous memory bandwidth -- up to 80% more bandwidth than GDDR3.
The Revolution 700 Deluxe also offers Microsoft DirectX 10.1 Shader Model 4.1 support and four-in-one (CRT, HDMI, Dual-link DVI, and DisplayPort) display support for hooking up displays via different connector interfaces. The Dual-link DVI interface allows support for 2560 x 1600 resolution display. The card is also High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) capable, which means it offers protection to the high-definition content transmitted from the source device to the display. Check the full specifications of Revolution 700 Deluxe.
This card will be available at a retail price range similar to other HD 4870 X2 cards as per Darren Polkowski, spokesman for Palit, so it might range from $500 to $580.
